Tell Me a Story

A Night Like This

A Night Like This - Julia Quinn No one writes witty repartee and charming characters the way Julia Quinn can.

And for that, I'm prepared to overlook the woeful historical accuracy (there ain't none. I can't even tell in what year this is supposed to be set. Sometime before the invention of the car is all I know.) Or the ridiculous absence of social and class boundaries (an Earl to marry a governess of dubious virtue and no one gives a fig? Yeah, but no.) Or the over-the-top villan, who was just missing a mustache to twirl.

Yeah, fun dialogue and characters (I loved the three young girls) go a long way with me, and will compensate for all kinds of ills in my book.
